This is my second time at Jefe Urban Cocina and I'm so glad I went back. I ordered the same things as my first time: strawberry margarita and the jefe sampler. Both were delicious and I like the option to try all their available sauces (the mango habanero salsa is a ⭐️. This time I tried the Carne Asada and it was spectacular. The meat was on point, the mashed potatoes full of flavor, creamy and chunky at the same time, the star was the chimichurri that complemented the dish perfectly. I was impressed with this dish and will be back for it. The restaurant has a very romantic and cozy atmosphere, the service is fast and exceptional.

Jefe is the ultimate Minnesota patio destination in summer. The margaritas are strong, there's little to no wait to get seated, and the food is incredible. We ordered elotes for an appetizer and it did not disappoint. Birria tacos were one of the best I've had in the Twin Cities area. Overall, a great place for a date night or a catch up with a friend over a happy hour.

Overall about a 4.6. Very good food and service. They have a great deck/patio which was full and we decided to be inside which was also nice and all the windows open. Only 2nd time at Jefe, this experience was a little better than the first time but both were good. Definitely recommend. One thing that was odd was the Elote, which was served on the cob with a knife. This was bit tricky to manipulate with all the sauce and such (resulting 3x in slippage, in our case) - maybe just us but I would suggest either different prep, or different service (like street service wraps, or different utensils, etc.) In any case, drinks, food, atmosphere, service, all great.

Wonderful Latin cuisine. Very comfortable seating (maybe a tad open). The staff are very friendly and helpful (though they may not know the menu to perfection). The food was good. I loved my enchiladas. And the tosadas with salsas were fantastic. My friend said the duck was only ok. The desert was amazing!

I enjoyed this place after a nearby movie. Cute spot for a date night. The dimmed lights create a mood. I sat by the bar and the service was fast, bartenders were nice too! The drink was a bit on the sweeter side but good. I ordered the tinga tacos and they came out quick. Had a little kick to it but they were good. Apparently this place can get busy from what the bartender said. Also parking can be a bit tricky.

5 stars for food, atmosphere, and service, but 3 stars for price. This place is absolute class. Gorgeous interior, good service, and really good food/drinks. Super pricey though. My partner and I went during happy hour and still spent $80+ on food and drinks that, like I said, are great - but are obviously way too inflated to be a reasonable price.

This is my absolute favorite patio in northeast Minneapolis. It sits on the most scenic street in the city. We chose this place for our family dinner and it did not disappoint. The server was so much fun and super accommodating. Best margarita I've ever had! Food came out hot and fresh. The patio fills up fast and there is a little bit of a wait, but well worth it!
